On the road again!

Wow. Finished in NJ yesterday after pulling an all nighter to get "If You Want an Eggroll, Get Out of the Pizzeria," finished. Sent it to my agent and then piled in the van and headed south. Did not get lost this time. The colors of the fall foliage along I-195 south were INCREDIBLE! It was slightly overcast, with that briliant backlit kind of light from dark clouds...stunning colors. Just stunning. I pulled into New Hope, PA around 4 pm in search of a car charger for my dead cell phone. Nothing. But if you ever get a chance to spend the day in New Hope, do. Incredible little stores and shops.

I met Patty Newbold and her husband Ed (fantastic triiibes folks) in New Hope and we went to dinner at a funky little restaurant that I can't remember the name of....Karla's I think....I've NEVER had food so GOOD! Filet, mashed potatoes and veggies....but divine....utterly divine. We talked writing and business and I can't remember when I've felt so relaxed and just good.

I spent the night in the van and am lying here now....about to get up and quit lazing around (It rained last night and while they have a perfectly wonderful and cozy guest room, the dog was lonely and I just LOVE sleeping in the van when it rains!). Today....heading towards DC. No schedule....so just taking a day to enjoy the colors, the drive and what ever comes up! LIFE IS GOOD!!
